FAQ
What insurance plans do you accept?
We work with all the private insurers as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
Is there any cost to residents?
Most residents incur no costs at all. A few might have small copayments or a deductible, depending on their insurance coverage. State law requires us to send invoices for copayments and deductibles, and we comply with that mandate. We don’t use a collections agency, though, so your residents will never be exposed to aggressive collections tactics.
Are there any residents PST of Ohio can’t see?
Insurers don’t allow psychologists to work with residents enrolled in hospice. Other than that, we can see anyone in need.
Do we need a contract with PST of Ohio?
Yes. We can use our standard contract or yours. Since there’s no money exchanging hands between us, it’s a simple & straightforward agreement.
Once we decide to work with PST of Ohio, how do we refer new patients?
To start seeing a new patient, we need just two things: a signed Consent Form & a face sheet that includes insurance information.
Can you accept a verbal consent or does the Consent Form need to be signed?
Unfortunately, Ohio law does not permit psychologists to accept verbal consents.
Will your doctors complete Guardianship evaluations?
Absolutely! We can’t guarantee that we’ll always recommend guardianship, but we’ll be happy to do the evaluations.
How will you document your visits? Will we be able to read your handwriting?
We use a tablet-based system that enables us generate typed session notes. We’ll leave a copy in the resident’s chart or in your mailbox, whichever you prefer.
Do you provide psychiatric services?
Absolutely! Our team of psychiatric providers is the best in the biz! Your community will be assigned a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or a psychiatrist in accordance with your needs. Each resident will be seen every four weeks for routine visits. Between scheduled visits, we will also provide any medically-necessary services your residents might need.
